How the calculator works

Take the four caliper measurements from the infant head-shape exam: AP length, both diagonals and parietal width. Enter them and you get the cephalic index and the cranial vault asymmetry index (CVAI), each with a plain-language band, plus a one-page parent handout with your practice's details on it.

The CVAI bands follow the CHOA scale.

It all runs in your browser. No measurement and no patient detail is sent anywhere.

Built by Dr. Anthony Pellegrino, DC, a practicing pediatric chiropractor and craniopath. The full walkthrough is on the cranial measurement calculator page, and the exam behind these numbers is taught in the training.
